Information we collect
Findaicoach may collect account details such as your name and email address, a securely hashed password, administrator and usage records, and information you choose to provide while using a service. Depending on the service, this can include learning goals, course activity, career history, skills, coaching conversations, CV content, plans and progress.
If you use the Free Career Direction Check without registering, we store the four answers and generated preview under a random assessment identifier. A separate secret kept by your browser is required to retrieve or transfer that assessment; only its hash is stored by Findaicoach.
We also receive basic technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as request timestamps, browser information, IP-derived security signals and error logs. If you voluntarily submit product feedback, we store its service, category, message, review status and any awarded credits. Do not include passwords, API keys, payment details or unnecessary private information in feedback.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, deliver and personalise the requested service, preserve progress, apply usage limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, communicate about your account and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.
Career details, CVs, coaching conversations, plans and learning progress are kept with your signed-in account. Findaicoach does not publish them as a public profile or show them to other members. Relevant information may still be processed by the service providers described in this notice when needed to deliver a feature you request.
AI-assisted processing
Relevant parts of your request and context may be sent to the AI provider configured by Findaicoach, currently DeepSeek, to generate a response. Avoid submitting government identifiers, financial or health data, employer secrets, or personal information about another person unless you are authorised to do so. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed before use.
When a signed-in member asks for a feedback reward, the service, category and feedback message are also sent to the configured AI provider to assess whether the submission is relevant, appropriate, specific and actionable. Your name, email address and account identifier are not included in that review prompt. We store the assessment, decision and reason for audit purposes, apply the monthly reward cap, and email the outcome. If automated review is unavailable, the submission remains pending for manual review and no credits are changed.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
Essential local storage is used for sign-in state, service progress, dismissed service notices, theme preferences and your measurement choices. Findaicoach records aggregate first-party page, service-selection, sign-up and login totals without cookies, a visitor identifier or an account association. These records do not store raw query strings, IP addresses, user-agent strings, referrers, CVs or conversation content.
If you arrive through a campaign link, we may retain the standard UTM source, medium, campaign, content and term values during that browser tab's journey so we can understand whether a campaign led to a Career Direction Check or account creation. Values are length-limited and restricted to a safe character set. We do not retain the full query string or unrelated URL parameters, and campaign links should not contain personal information.
Google Consent Mode starts Analytics storage, Ads storage, Ads user data and advertising personalisation in a denied state. Before you make a choice, or when you decline optional measurement, Google may receive limited cookieless measurement pings for basic reporting and modelling; Findaicoach does not enable Google Analytics or Ads cookies. Full Google Analytics storage and Google Ads measurement are enabled only for the categories you select. Advertising personalisation remains off. Google may process permitted measurement data under its own privacy terms.
You can use every core service without optional measurement and reopen “Privacy choices” at any time to change or withdraw your selection. Unique visitor estimates in the administrator report cover consenting sessions only; overall page totals include the identifier-free aggregate counts described above.
Use the “Privacy choices” control shown on the site to review or change optional measurement choices at any time. Clearing this site’s local storage in your browser also resets the saved choice.
Storage and retention
Account and service information is stored while needed to provide the service, meet security and legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain backups. Daily recovery copies may temporarily retain deleted information until their limited retention period expires; they are isolated from normal product use and are overwritten on schedule. Payment providers retain their own transaction records under their terms and legal duties.
An anonymous Career Direction Check expires after seven days and is removed after it is successfully transferred into a signed-in account. If it is transferred, the four answers become part of the CareerCompass profile and can then be exported or deleted with the shared account.
Your choices and rights
You can limit the information you provide, remove unnecessary details from a CV before uploading, decline optional analytics, and stop using a service. Signed-in members can download a combined CareerCompass and SkillForge data export or permanently delete the shared account from CareerCompass Settings. A PayPal agreement that could still renew must first be cancelled. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or export personal information, or object to processing.
Security and contact
We use HTTPS, server-side credentials, restricted environment files, hashed passwords, access controls and service isolation. No online system can promise absolute security.
